Representative Todd Rokita Prior to his service in Congress, Representative Todd Rokita was Indiana’s Secretary of State. Rokita has been recognized nationally because of his efforts to implement Indiana’s photo ID law to help combat from voter fraud, Rokita worked with Governor Mitch Daniels in redistricting reform and while in congress, Rokita has opposed all tax hikes. While Rokita is pro-life and a supporter of the second amendment, Rokita values parent’s involvement when it comes to their child’s education as Rokita is the Chairman of the Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary Education. Rokita has written legislation to replace No Child Left Behind, stopping Common Core, and returning federal control of education back to parents, teachers, and local school districts. Rokita serves on the Transportation Committee and is the Vice Chairman of the House Budget Committee. He holds a bachelor-of-arts degree from Wabash College, where he earned Wabash’s highest award by being selected as an Eli Lilly Fellow. He also holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Indiana University School of Law. Congressman Rokita and his wife Kathy reside in Brownsburg and have two young children, Teddy and Ryan. The family worships at St. Malachy Parish in Brownsburg, Indiana.
