My name is Brook Cleaver, and I am currently serving a second term as your
Howard County Recorder. I have been married to Tom Cleaver for 17 years, and we have four children together. I was first elected in 2011 after having held the position of chief deputy recorder and was a paralegal for 15 years before coming to work for the Recorder’s office. As to my education, I hold an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies and will be graduating from Indiana Wesleyan this year with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. As your county recorder, I’ve had the opportunity to become very involved with the Indiana Recorder’s Association serving in such capacities as Legislative Committee Co-Chair (2016-18), legislative committee member (2014- 15), and District VP (2012-13), and was recently presented with the 2017 Service Award at our annual conference. As to community involvement, I previously volunteered in various capacities with the Kokomo Rescue Mission and eventually became involved with Bridges Outreach serving as a mentor at Bon Air Elementary from 2014-16. It has been a pleasure serving as your county recorder. If you have any questions or if I can provide further information about the county recorder’s office, please contact me at (765) 456-2210.
